DOWNHILL SKIERS – AIN’T NO MOUNTAIN STEEP ENOUGH” is a feature film that brings the fascination, drama and toughness of the Alpine Downhill World Cup to the big screen like never before.
The film shows the athletes in a constant interplay of triumph and tragedy, full of adrenaline and painful events. The downhill stars let the viewers get up close and personal and take them into their world on a more than emotional journey. The knowledge of having to go to the limit to win, the love of the sport, friendships, exceptional performances, injuries and the will to never give up offer pure excitement during the 2-minute races on routes over 3 km, where usually only hundredths of a second decide on victory or defeat, glory or bitter disappointment.
Ain’t No Mountain Steep Enough follows six charismatic men over a whole season in front of and behind the scenes: from the World Cup final in Saalbach 2024 and the preparations in summer for the legendary races such as Bormio, Wengen and Kitzbühel, to the highlight, the 48th Alpine World Ski Championships in Saalbach-Hinterglemm 2025.
