In GOOD FORTUNE, Ansari plays Arj, a man who is plagued by bad luck and has countless jobs. He is called by his friend, Jeff, who lives in the Hollywood Hills, to do various jobs for him – from laying a disco floor to repairing the pool heater. But through a mysterious “angel from the valley”, their roles are miraculously reversed: Suddenly, Arj finds himself living his friend's comfortable life, while Jeff has to deal with Arj's previous challenges.
